過去將來時由“would+動詞原形”構(gòu)成，主要表示從過去某一時間來看將要發(fā)生的動作(尤其用于賓語從句中)。如： She said that she wouldn't do that again. 她說她再不會這樣做了。 He promised that he would help me. 他答應(yīng)他會幫助我。 對于一個謂語動詞用一般將來時的句子，如果將它置于一個主句謂語為過去式的賓語從句中，那么原來的一般將來時就要變?yōu)檫^去將來時，因?yàn)榇藭r對于賓語從句來說，時間的基點(diǎn)從現(xiàn)在移到了過去。比較： He will agree. 他會同意的。 I knew he would agree. 我當(dāng)時就知道他會同意的。
