常用用法

centre是可數(shù)名詞,基本意思是“中心”,可指圓、球體等物體的“心,中心點(diǎn),中心軸”,也可指物體的“正中,當(dāng)中,中央,中間”,也可指活動、重要性、影響、興趣等方面的“中心,中樞,密集區(qū)”,還指經(jīng)濟(jì),政治等的“中心”或某場合中的“中心人物”。
centre有時(shí)可表示政治上的“中間立場或中間黨派”,是集合名詞,用作單數(shù)。與單數(shù)動詞連用,其前常加定冠詞the。
centre是英式拼法,美式拼法為center。

centre用作名詞的意思是“中心”,轉(zhuǎn)化為動詞的意思則為“置于…中心; 集中于…”。
