常用用法

dish用作動詞時,意思是“盛于碟或盤中”,常用于習(xí)語dish out和dish up中。在口語中, dish還可表示“使某人的希望破滅”“破壞某人的機(jī)會”“使某人不能成功”。dish用作及物動詞,可用于被動結(jié)構(gòu)。

這組詞都是餐具名稱,都有“盤”“碟”“碗”的意思。其區(qū)別是：
dish可泛指就餐時所用的餐具,包括盤、碟、碗、杯、刀、叉等,特指較深的盤子; plate指較平的盤子、碟子,可用以盛湯,也可用以裝菜; platter指橢圓形的大淺盤,一般放置餐桌中央,用以盛肉、盛魚等。例如:
