mention的基本意思是“提到”“說(shuō)起”,如口頭或書(shū)面提及某人的名字,提及或簡(jiǎn)述某事物等,以引起注意。
mention是及物動(dòng)詞,可接名詞、代詞或動(dòng)名詞作賓語(yǔ),還可接以that或疑問(wèn)詞引導(dǎo)的從句作賓語(yǔ)。可用于被動(dòng)結(jié)構(gòu)。
mention偶爾也可接以as短語(yǔ)充當(dāng)補(bǔ)足語(yǔ)的復(fù)合賓語(yǔ)。
mention不可用于mention sb sth 結(jié)構(gòu),“對(duì)…提起…”可以說(shuō)mention sb/sth to sb 或mention to sb that/wh-clause結(jié)構(gòu)。
not to mention可用如連詞,其后只接名詞短語(yǔ)。

mention作名詞與動(dòng)詞的意思基本一致,指人們口頭或書(shū)面對(duì)某人或某事物進(jìn)行簡(jiǎn)短陳述,是單數(shù)名詞,可與不定冠詞連用。
mention常與介詞of連用。
mention只有及物動(dòng)詞的用法，后面不可以接介詞；
mention后面也不可以接不定式，但可以接動(dòng)名詞和that引導(dǎo)的從句。He mentions hearing from her often. 他提到經(jīng)常有她的信兒。
