基本解釋

produce的基本意思是“生產(chǎn)”,可指生產(chǎn)一切有形的或無形的東西,引申可作“制作,創(chuàng)作”解,可用作不及物動詞,也可用作及物動詞,用作及物動詞時,接名詞或代詞作賓語。
produce也可作“出示,提供; 引起,導致; 出版,上演”解,作此解時用作及物動詞,接名詞或代詞作賓語。produce可用于被動結構。

produce用作名詞時是“產(chǎn)品”的總稱,包括農業(yè)產(chǎn)品、工業(yè)產(chǎn)品和天然產(chǎn)品,但主要是指農產(chǎn)品,是不可數(shù)名詞。
produce作主語時其謂語動詞用單數(shù)形式。
produce統(tǒng)一表示“出產(chǎn)品，農產(chǎn)品”時，屬不可數(shù)名詞，沒有復數(shù)形式，也不能加a；
a product是“一件（天然、農業(yè)、或工業(yè)）產(chǎn)品”，而a production是“一件(文學或藝術）作品”；
