relied

基本解釋

14世紀(jì)初期進(jìn)入英語，直接源自古法語的relier，意為系牢，召集，強(qiáng)制；最初源自古典拉丁語的religare：re （強(qiáng)調(diào)） + ligare （捆），意為系緊。

rely的基本意思是“依賴,依靠,信任”,指根據(jù)以往的經(jīng)驗(yàn)而寄托給某人充分信任或期待某事不落空。
rely是不及物動(dòng)詞,后面須接介詞on〔upon〕,再接名詞、代詞、動(dòng)名詞或動(dòng)詞不定式作賓語補(bǔ)足語的復(fù)合結(jié)構(gòu)。
