sometime、some time、sometimes、some times這些詞或詞組在初中我們就都接觸過(guò)了，但是未必所有的英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)者都能夠清楚地進(jìn)行區(qū)分和準(zhǔn)確無(wú)誤地運(yùn)用。許多人對(duì)它們的理解都還很模糊?，F(xiàn)在，我們來(lái)逐個(gè)擊破。 sometime （1）副詞：某個(gè)時(shí)候?？芍高^(guò)去或?qū)?lái)的某個(gè)時(shí)候。如： ① Would you come to the cinema with me, sometime? 賞臉找個(gè)時(shí)間和我看場(chǎng)電影嗎？(將來(lái)) ② We'll take our holiday sometime in August. 我們會(huì)在八月找個(gè)時(shí)間度假。（將來(lái)） ③ I bought this sometime last summer. 這是我在上個(gè)夏天買(mǎi)的。（過(guò)去） ④ This mansion was built sometime around 1980. 這棟大廈是1980年左右建的。（過(guò)去） （2）形容詞：前，過(guò)去的。意思類似former。 ① This is our sometime general manager.這是我們的前任縂經(jīng)理。 ② Our sometime classmate, Rose, is now a pop star. 我們以前的同學(xué)羅斯，現(xiàn)在是明星了。 (3)sometimes 副詞：有時(shí)候。順便提一下，at times也是“有時(shí)”的意思。 ① Every man is a fool sometimes, and none at all times. 每個(gè)人有時(shí)都會(huì)犯傻，但沒(méi)有誰(shuí)會(huì)一直都傻。 ② I sometimes have letters from him. 有時(shí)我會(huì)收到他的來(lái)信。 (4)some time 某段時(shí)間。常與for連用。 ① We plan to stay in Hainan for some time. 我們打算在海南呆上一段時(shí)間。 ② I will keep the computer for some time, so you can use it.這部電腦我會(huì)畱著一段時(shí)間，你可以用。 (5)some times 幾次。several times也可以表示“幾次”，但比some times較確定。time作可數(shù)名詞時(shí)可作“次數(shù)”解；表示“時(shí)間”時(shí)是不可數(shù)名詞。 ① I am sure that we have met some times before.我肯定我們之前見(jiàn)過(guò)幾次了。 ② The newly bought microwave oven failed to work some times.新買(mǎi)的微波爐壞了幾次了。
