• as用作副詞時主要用來表示比較,意思是“像…一樣；如同”?？梢詥为毷褂?，但更多的是用在as...as結搆中，其中第一個as是副詞，其後可接形容詞或副詞,也可接其他成分，as前可有狀語。第二個as可以是介詞,也可以是連詞。as用作副詞時還可以指事物以同樣的方式發(fā)生,意思是“和…一樣”。
• as...as結搆多用於肯定式，偶爾也可用於否定式。表示同樣意思的否定式多用so...as。as...as結搆用於否定句時多用於口語，側重“像…一樣”；so...as結搆則多用於書麪語，側重“像…那樣”。
• as...as結搆表示的是同級比較，第一個as後的形容詞或副詞不可用比較級，必須用原級，比較的對象亦須屬同類。
• as...as結搆表示數(shù)量或程度時，可用於“as much+(不可數(shù)名詞+) as”或“as many+(可數(shù)名詞複數(shù)+) as”結搆。
• 脩飾as...as結搆的常見詞語有nearly,almost,just,exactly,half,quite,表示倍數(shù)或次數(shù)的形容詞，“數(shù)詞+times”等。這些脩飾語都放在as...as結搆之前。
