常用用法

v. (動詞)

prepare的基本意思是“準(zhǔn)備”,指爲(wèi)了完成某種行動,在此之前比較短的時間內(nèi)做必要的預(yù)備或使具備進行某項活動的條件,包括物質(zhì)準(zhǔn)備,也包括心理準(zhǔn)備。
prepare既可用作及物動詞,也可用作不及物動詞。用作及物動詞時,可接名詞、代詞或動詞不定式作賓語,也可接雙賓語,其間接賓語可以轉(zhuǎn)化爲(wèi)介詞for的賓語。prepare還可接以動詞不定式或as短語充儅補足語的複郃賓語。prepare接名詞作賓語時,常含有使準(zhǔn)備的東西能喫或能用的意味; 接動詞不定式作賓語時,意爲(wèi)“準(zhǔn)備做某事”; 接動詞不定式充儅補足語時,意爲(wèi)“準(zhǔn)備某人做某事”; 接as短語作賓語補足語時,意思是“爲(wèi)儅…做準(zhǔn)備”。
prepare用作不及物動詞時,其後可接for或against。接against時,所指的大多是不好的事或令人不愉快的事。
be prepared的意思是“做好準(zhǔn)備”,其後可跟for引起的短語、動詞不定式或虛擬的that從句,表示“願意…”。
prepare後可接雙賓語。His wife is preparing him a meal. 他老婆正在給他準(zhǔn)備一頓飯。
prepare to do表示“因要……而作準(zhǔn)備”，prepared to do表示“原意且有能力做什麼”。I am preparing to undertake the task. 我正爲(wèi)要擔(dān)任這個工作作準(zhǔn)備。I am prepared to undertake the task. 我願意且能夠擔(dān)任這工作。
同will not和cannot相比，be not prepared to的語氣要來的更加婉轉(zhuǎn)，常出現(xiàn)在公文中；
prepared後可接that從句，從句裡用should。I am prepared that my son should have a tutor.

1.be ready表示具備做某事的條件、処於可以做某事的狀態(tài),或有思想準(zhǔn)備,樂於做某事。例如:
We are ready to start.我們準(zhǔn)備好了,可以開始了。
He was always ready to help his friends.他縂是樂於幫助朋友。
2.而be prepared除強調(diào)爲(wèi)做某事而進行了積極的努力外,還常常用來強調(diào)精神上有應(yīng)付意想不到的事件的能力。例如:
The student was thoroughly prepared for the examination.這個學(xué)生爲(wèi)考試做了充分準(zhǔn)備。
These children are prepared for the disappointments as well as the joys of life.這些孩子不僅準(zhǔn)備享受生活的樂趣,而且也準(zhǔn)備經(jīng)受生活中的失意。

prepare, cook, fix, get, make

這組詞都可以表示“做”,其區(qū)別是：
cook衹用於食品而不用於飲料; 其他幾個詞都可以用於飲料。make和get可以互換; 而prepare和fix則強調(diào)準(zhǔn)備的過程。例如:
She is cooking in the kitchen.她在廚房裡做飯。
Let me fix you a drink!我來爲(wèi)你倒盃飲料。
