后綴-tude

漢： -tude抽象名詞后綴，意為“state,quality,act”，后綴-tude的前面常跟字母i,構(gòu)成后綴-itude
英：syllable formed when the word-forming element -ude, forming abstract nouns from adjectives and participles, is fixed to a base or to another suffix ending in -t or -te; from Fr. -ude, from L. -udo (gen. -udinis). As a word in its own right, teenager slang shortening of attitude, it dates from 1970s.
1.aptitude
n.natural or acquired talent 天資；習(xí)性；傾向 apt=fit
An aptitude test is given to each applicant to determine his suitability ror the job.
為測定是否適合工作職位，每一位申請人都要參加能力傾向測試。

2.fortitude
n.calm courage in the face of pain,danger,or difficulty 堅忍；剛毅 fort=strong
He was a leader of unprecedented moral fortitude.
他是一位前所未有的品行端正、堅忍剛毅的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人。

3.latitude
n.distance north or south of the equator measured in degree 緯度；回旋余地，自由 lat=wide
The higher you move up in the military ,the more latitude you are given in your decision making.
你在軍中的地位越高，被賦予的決定權(quán)力的自由就越大。

4.longitude
n.distance east or west from a meridian,especially that of Greenwich,in London 經(jīng)度；經(jīng)線
The satellite pinpoints the ship's latitude and longitude to within 10 meters accuracy.
衛(wèi)星能夠準(zhǔn)確地確定船只的經(jīng)度和緯度，誤差不超過10米。

5.recitude
n.honesty;upright or straightforward behavior 正直；正直的行為；rec=lead straight
Rectitude is a rare quality among politicians.
正直對于政治家來說是極為珍貴的品質(zhì)。

6.similitude
n.相似，類似 simil=same
There is a similitude in design among all the cars Volve makes.
沃爾沃制造的汽車都很相似。
