familiar的用法大全

familiar 表示“熟悉的，親近的，或隨便的（表示不滿）之意。”

1.familiar 作“熟悉的”用時，可與with/ to 連用。

be familiar with sth 某人對某事物熟悉

sth be familiar to sb 指某事物爲某人所熟悉

例句：

Most people are familiar with this figure from Wagner's opera.

多數(shù)人對瓦格納歌劇中的這個人物是熟悉的。

His voice on the phone sounded familiar to me. 他在電話上的聲音我聽起來很熟悉。

2.表示“友好的”時，familiar通常與介詞 with 連用

例句

He's familiar with us. (=He's on familiar terms with us). 他與我們關系很友好。

She greeted them by their first names in a familiar way. 她與他們打招呼時親切地直呼其名。

3.表示“過分親密的”“隨便的”，也常與 with 連用。如：

The man makes himself [=is] too familiar with my wife. 這個人對我妻子太隨便(太放肆)。
