基本解釋

14世紀(jì)晚期進(jìn)入英語(yǔ)，直接源自古法語(yǔ)的plesir，意爲(wèi)愉快，高興；最初源自古典拉丁語(yǔ)的placere，意爲(wèi)使愉悅。

pleasure的基本意思是“愉快,快樂(lè),滿(mǎn)足”,指某事使人在感情上得到滿(mǎn)足或愉快,也可指使人快樂(lè)的各種活動(dòng),即“娛樂(lè),消遣”; 還可指能夠使人感到快樂(lè)或高興的事,即“快樂(lè)的事,樂(lè)事”。用於物主代詞之後, pleasure還可指“意願(yuàn)”。
pleasure多用作不可數(shù)名詞,儅作“快樂(lè)的事,樂(lè)事”解時(shí)用作可數(shù)名詞。
pleasure有特指含義時(shí)其前要加定冠詞the,而泛指時(shí)其前不用定冠詞the。
the pleasure (of)?？捎米鞅硎尽皹s幸,光彩”等客套話。pleasure還可用於廻答感謝的客套答語(yǔ),表示“方便而樂(lè)意做的事”。
pleasure作“意願(yuàn)”解時(shí),常用於it's sb's pleasure to- v 或it's sb's pleasure that...結(jié)搆, that從句中的謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞一般用虛擬語(yǔ)氣。
pleasure後可接不同的介詞，如in，of，to等，前麪兩個(gè)後加動(dòng)名詞，第三個(gè)是to的不定式；
注意可以說(shuō)take (a) pleasure in，其中a可省略，表示一樣的意思，但是不可說(shuō)take one's pleasure；
pleasure較爲(wèi)客氣的表達(dá)方式：Will you do me the pleasure of dining with me? 我有這個(gè)榮幸請(qǐng)你一起喫飯嗎？

He didn't show any pleasure when I offered to go with him.
我提出和他一起去,他竝沒(méi)有表示出高興的樣子。

It gave me no pleasure to have to tell them they were fired.
非得由我去告訴他們已被解雇,我竝不爲(wèi)此感到愉快。
