achieve的用法詳解

1. 一般只用作及物動(dòng)詞，其賓語(yǔ)可以是“實(shí)現(xiàn)”的目標(biāo)、目的等，也可以是“取得”的勝利、成功、名譽(yù)、地位等：

Everybody should be given the chance to achieve their aims. 要讓每個(gè)人都有機(jī)會(huì)實(shí)現(xiàn)自己的目標(biāo)。

She achieved no success. 她有沒(méi)獲得成功。

偶爾用作不及物動(dòng)詞 (表示“獲得成功”或“如愿以償”)，但很少見(jiàn)：

He achieved because he worked hard. 他因?yàn)楣ぷ髋Λ@得了成功。

2. 有時(shí)與 this, that, what, all, much, anything, nothing, a little 等代詞連用，表示“獲得 (成功)”或“取得 (成就)”等：

No one can achieve anything without effort. 誰(shuí)也不可能不努力而有所作為。

All this cannot be achieved overnight. 這一切不是朝夕之間可做到的。

I’ve achieved only half of what I hoped to do. 我只完成了我原想完成的一半。

3. 因 achieve 一般與令人愉快的事 (如：成功、成就等)連用，所以不要受漢語(yǔ)的影響濫用此詞表示一般意義的“達(dá)到”：

誤：He will achieve the age of 25 next month.

誤：The car achieved a speed of 150 mph.

4. 派生詞 achievement n. 成就，業(yè)績(jī) (可數(shù))；實(shí)現(xiàn)，達(dá)到，成功 (不可數(shù))：

He was rewarded by the Government for his scientific achievements. 他因在科學(xué)上取得的成就受到政府的獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)。

We felt a great sense of achievement when we reached the top of the mountain. 當(dāng)我們到達(dá)山頂時(shí)，我們感到有一種巨大的成功感。
