achieve的用法詳解

1. 一般只用作及物動詞，其賓語可以是“實現(xiàn)”的目標、目的等，也可以是“取得”的勝利、成功、名譽、地位等：

Everybody should be given the chance to achieve their aims. 要讓每個人都有機會實現(xiàn)自己的目標。

She achieved no success. 她有沒獲得成功。

偶爾用作不及物動詞 (表示“獲得成功”或“如愿以償”)，但很少見：

He achieved because he worked hard. 他因為工作努力獲得了成功。

2. 有時與 this, that, what, all, much, anything, nothing, a little 等代詞連用，表示“獲得 (成功)”或“取得 (成就)”等：

No one can achieve anything without effort. 誰也不可能不努力而有所作為。

All this cannot be achieved overnight. 這一切不是朝夕之間可做到的。

I’ve achieved only half of what I hoped to do. 我只完成了我原想完成的一半。

3. 因 achieve 一般與令人愉快的事 (如：成功、成就等)連用，所以不要受漢語的影響濫用此詞表示一般意義的“達到”：

誤：He will achieve the age of 25 next month.

誤：The car achieved a speed of 150 mph.

4. 派生詞 achievement n. 成就，業(yè)績 (可數(shù))；實現(xiàn)，達到，成功 (不可數(shù))：

He was rewarded by the Government for his scientific achievements. 他因在科學上取得的成就受到政府的獎勵。

We felt a great sense of achievement when we reached the top of the mountain. 當我們到達山頂時，我們感到有一種巨大的成功感。
